Old Town residents Sebastien and Mary Tavel are proud to serve the Alexandria area with high-quality artisan cheeses and meats. Sebastien, a native of France's Rhone valley, was raised in a rich culture of cheese, wines, and fine regional foods. With more than a decade of experience as a Chef in the fine restaurants of Europe and the US, he has developed the firm belief that the best food comes from small producers using traditional methods. Sebastien and his wife Mary employ this philosophy as the core concept of La Fromagerie.

La Fromagerie proudly showcases and specializes in American cheeses. Sebastien and Mary strongly believe that independent, regional farmers create and produce a unique and flavorful variety of enjoyable cheeses.
